This participant sent in photos of the jacket she made for her sister.
The sister travels a fair bit, so the participant decided to make the jacket
portray some of the places she has been to. The designs represent Africa,
Australia, New Zealand, and Tahiti. She also wanted to include the family
and chose a Fairy
with a Cherry for the sister's eldest daughter, Bluebell
for her granddaughter, the Artist
Fairy for another daughter, and a Fairy
with a Lantern for her youngest. The Elf
Fairy symbolises her son-in-law. The picture of Wendy
is meant to be the participant's mom (that's how she appears on an old
photo).
All the designs were stitched on a Janome MC300E embroidery machine.
