| Hoop the T-shirt with cut-away mesh stabilizer. Thread the needle with black thread. Start embroidering. The machine will embroider an outline of the ladybug and stop. |  |
| Place a piece of red fabric over the outline, and start the machine. It will embroider the outline again and stop. |  |
With a pair of sharp scissors cut away the excess fabric as close to the outline as possible. Return the hoop to the machine.
It will make a zig-zag outline and stop. If there is still fabric outside the outline you want to cut away, do this now. |  |
Return the hoop into the machine and finish the embroidery of the ladybug's body.
Change the thread and embroider the eye. |  |
