Projects & Ideas | Here is how to embroider and assemble the 3D Poinsettia Applique:
Hoop 2 layers of water soluble mesh stabilizer, such as Vilene.
Place the applique fabric with stabilizer over it.
Start embroidering the design. |  | | After the outline is finished, take the hoop out (do not take the embroidery out of the hoop!) and, working with very sharp scissors, cut away the baste-stitch first, then the excess applique fabric as close to the outline as possible.
|  | | Insert the hoop into the machine and finish the embroidery.
Take the embroidery out of the hoop and cut the excess stabilizer.
Soak the embroidery in warm water for one minute.
Spread it out on a towel and let it air dry. Don't press! |  | | Hand-stitch both parts together through the center of the flower.
|  | | Now you can place the 3D flower on a table, or attach it to a wall-hanging, table-top and even to your clothes. |  | |
