Freestanding Flower

These are instructions on how to embroider the free-standing flower, our free design for August 2016. This design is perfect for many different kinds of projects. You can use it to embellish clothing, accessories like bags and headbands, or for embroidery jewelry.

You will need

• embroidery thread (either polyester or rayon),
• organza of any color,
• water-soluble meash stabilizer.

Embroidery:

There are 5 parts in the flower, all of them are given as one file for the large (5" x 7") hoop. Upload the file into the machine.

Hoop a layer of organza with 1-2 layers of water-soluble stabilizer.

Embroider the file. Wash away the stabilizer. Spread and leave to air dry.
With a pair of sharp scissors, cut out all parts.

Place the parts on top of each other with the centers aligned, and sew through the center. You can also add some beads to the center.
