| The note book cover of this contestant is for her friend.
Here is what she writes:
"This is a note book cover that I made for a friend in order for her
to keep her notes for the book that she was writing and has just been published.
She is 87 years old and was a nurse during WW II; she worked close to the
front lines during the Battle of the Bulge. I felt that the notes for her
memoirs needed a cover that was worthy of her work, rather than just the
plain old loose leaf note books. Since the second half of her book deals
with her life experiences -both humorous and poignant- I felt that the
picture implying reflections was ideal. She is delighted to have the embroidered
cover, and I was happy to plan it using this innovative design.
I use a Viking SE sewing machine."
