This participant sent in pictures of a tree skirt.
She writes: "This is a 75” Christmas Tree Skirt I did for a charity
auction. I used red velvet with embroiderd Cardinals
(approx. 5”x6” – large hoop) on tafetta panels (your suggestion on using
felt as a stabilizer worked!). To add a little sparkle and fill space around
the Cardinals, I used glass beads in two different sizes to imitate scattered
red berries. The whole skirt is padded. For the sewing and embroidery I
use Pfaff Creative 2170." |
