"Hooray, I finished on time! I call my quilt "God Bless
America". The quilt is 95"W x 100" L. The 50
states plus Washington DC made the quilt uneven, so I added 5 more
squares, using your rose patterns plus the name square. I hand quilted
the backgrounds with white thread in an echo design and the light green
sashing was hand-quilted with dark green thread in a scalloped design.
I had to machine quilt the outside border as I was running out of time.
I made the binding using the same fabric as the sashing and hand sewed
that on for a finished look. I added the names of the flowers to
each state square since your design didn't include that. I embroidered
the flowers using a Viking Husqvarna Designer 1 and finished with my new
Husqvarna Diamond sewing machine."
