"Needing a centerpiece for my dining table I chose one of the lace doilies from the FSL Battenberg Lace doily set. Selecting a dark red velveteen for the center of my doilies, I sewed it out 9 times to create my centerpiece. I laid the doilies in a triangle pattern and then hand tied the matching picots together. That was rather time consuming but worth the effort as a machine stitch would have ruined the look. It is beautiful and the pictures just don't do it justice. It measures about 35 X 21 inches.
