Greeting Cards with Cutwork Lace
|
| You can get interesting results when you embroider cutwork
lace designs on tulle. Here we show how to use cutwork lace designs
embroidered on tulle to make greeting cards. |
You will need water-soluble stabilizer, tulle, card stack, embroidery
threads and adhesive spray.
Note: If you're using printable card stack, print the greeting first,
following the instructions of the manufacturer. |
|
| Step One: Hoop a layer of tulle with two layers of water-soluble
stabilizer. Embroider the design. We embroidered Christmas
Ornaments with silver metallic thread. |
|
| Step Two: Cut away the excess tulle and stabilizer. Place the
design into a bowl of warm water to melt the stabilizer. Then spread it
neatly and leave to air dry. When dry, press carefully with steam. |
|
| Step Three: Spray the back of the design with liquid adhesive
and place it over a card stack. Press. Follow the instructions on the spray
- you might have to leave the card pressed down for some time. |
|
|
The cards are ready. Enjoy!
