| For this table topper we used the machine embroidery designs from the
Peacock
Feather Crochet Doily Set. Here we offer the instructions on how to
make a table topper, but you can easily make a smaller doily, a table runner
or even a table cloth using the parts from this set. |
|
| You will need water-soluble Vilene stabilizer and cotton embroidery
threads for the lace. We used white Signature-brand quilting cotton thread.
The finished size of the table topper is about 19" x 19". |
|
| The designs from the Peacock
Feather Crochet Doily Set are a crochet-style FSL. Please read the
General Guidelines and Step-by-Step Guide
to Embroidering our Crochet-Style FSL designs. |
Step One: For this table topper, embroider the large circle
sixteen times, and the smaller circle nine times.
Dissolve the stabilizer and spread all parts out evenly to air dry.
Press with steam if needed. |
|
| Step Two: On your working table, lay out the designs as shown
on the picture. Thread a needle with the same thread that you used for
the embroidery and stitch together the parts in the places marked with
red. This has to be done manually. |

|
The table topper is ready. Enjoy!
