Cosmetic Case with Wild Flowers Embroidery
This is a very fast and simple project. The cosmetic case features small designs from the Wild Flower Decoration Motif Set. The finished size of the case is about 3" (deep) x 7" (high) x 9" (wide).
You'll need a piece of soft leatherette or polyester suede measuring about 10" x 18"  for easier hooping,  fabric for lining, cut-away iron-on stabilizer, embroidery threads, sewing uphostery threads, embroidery needle #80/12, sewing topstitch needle #90/14 and a zipper 10-11" long.
Embroidery:
Out of the fabric for the cases's top, cut a piece about 10" x 18". On the back of the fabric, mark the center of the piece and draw a horizontal line through the center. Hoop the upper part of the piece with iron-on-cut-away stabilizer and embroider the large motif from the Wild Flower Decoration Motif Set.
Cutting:
Cut the embroidered piece along the marked line into 2 pieces 10" x 9" each.
Out of the fabric for the lining cut 2 rectangles measuring 10" x 9" each.
Out of scraps for the case's top also cut a small rectangle measuring 1 1/4" x 3". You will need this piece to finish the zipper's end.
Sewing the Case
Take both outer panels. Fold their upper edges about 1/4" back. Press.
Take both pieces of the lining. Fold their upper edges  about 1/4" back. Press.
Place each outer panel face up on each lining panel, face down. Align and pin all the edges.
Now align the upper edges of the two working pieces.
Place the zipper, face up, on your working table. Tuck one edge of the zipper between the top and lining of the front panel and pin in place.

Tuck the other edge of the zipper between the top and lining of the back panel and pin in place.

Topstitch the panels to the zipper 1/8" from the edge. Start and finish stitching 1/2" from the sides of the panels.

Open the zipper. Unpin the top from the lining and turn the outer panels up, right side in.
Align the sides of the outer panels and pin them together.
Align the sides of the lining rectangles and pin them together.
Stitch the outer panels together along the sides and the bottom, about 3/8" from the edge.

Stitch the box corners at the bottom. For this separate the front and back sides at the corners. Center the seams on each side of the corner on top of each other. Measure 1 1/2" along the seam from the corner and draw a line perpendicular to the seam across the corner and machine-stitch it. Do not trim the seam.
Now stitch the sides of the lining about 3/8" from the edge.
Through the opening in the lining, turn the working piece out.
Tuck in the raw edges of the lining 1/4" inside and press. Then topstitch closed.
Stitch the box corners on the lining, as described above.

Tuck the lining inside.

Wrap the small rectangle measuring 1 1/4" x 3" around the unfinished end of the zipper, pin and topstitch in place.
The cosmetic case is ready. Enjoy!
Happy Stitching!
