Embroidery Contest 2011

"This is a banner created using Madonna and Child design. The stitch-out is so beautiful, it must be seen in person. The colors are so rich. I made it for an upcoming Christmas celebration at our church. My original intention was to simply frame it, but then I thought it was so beautiful that I wanted to share it with everyone by making it into a banner instead. It is lined on the back with gold drapery fabric to hide the reverse side stitching. I added a Bethlehem Star to balance the design. I am so pleased and happy with the result. I'm sure there will be a lot of "ooo's and ahh's" once I take it to church.

I have a Viking Designer Ruby sewing machine. I must say that all Advanced Embroidery designs are the most beautiful and detailed of any site I have seen. I especially love the photo stitch designs. They look like real oil paintings - only better!"
