This set of machine embroidery designs is part of our Applique and For Kids Applique collections. It uses the Applique technique. The designs will fit the Small hoop (4" x 4").
Hoop the T-shirt with cut-away mesh stabilizer. Thread the needle with black thread. Start embroidering. The machine will embroider an outline of the ladybug and stop.
Place a piece of red fabric over the outline, and start the machine. It will embroider the outline again and stop.
With a pair of sharp scissors cut away the excess fabric as close to the outline as possible. Return the hoop to the machine.
It will make a zig-zag outline and stop. If there is still fabric outside the outline you want to cut away, do this now.
Return the hoop into the machine and finish the embroidery of the ladybug's body.
Change the thread and embroider the eye.
