Trillium Cutwork Set

The Trillium Cutwork is a set of 2 designs which can be embroidered both as an insert and as a freestanding ornament. Here are the instructions for both versions.

You will need fabric, water soluble mesh and embroidery threads.

Freestanding Ornament

Note: we show this version with the oval design. The rectangular design is embroidered in the same way.

Step One: Hoop 2 layers of water soluble mesh. Start the machine. It will embroider the outline of the design and stop.

Step Two: Cover the outline with a piece of fabric and start the machine. It will embroider the same oval outline and the outline of flower over the fabric and stop.

Step Three: Take the hoop from the machine. With a pair of sharp scissors cut away the fabric in the areas shown on the picture - outside the oval and inside around the leaves and flowers. Take care not to cut through the stabilizer and stitches.
