Autumn Leaves Applique and Cutwork Set

These are instructions on how to embroider the Autumn Leaves Applique and Cutwork Set.

The set contains 4 separate leave designs in the applique technique.

The set also contains one design with a group of leaves in the applique technique.

Size: 143 x 185 mm

All the above designs should be embroidered in the same way:

Step One: Hoop the base fabric with a stabilizer. Start embroidery. The machine will embroider the outline of the design and stop.

Step Two: Cover the outline with a piece of applique fabric. Start the machine. It will embroider the outline of the leaf over the applique fabric and stop.

Step Three: Take the hoop from the machine. With a pair of sharp scissors cut the excess fabric outside the outline. Take care not to cut through the stitches.

Step Four: Return the hoop to the machine and finish embroidery.

Using the combination of all 5 designs you can get different compositions.

The sixth design in the set is in the cutwork technique. We recommend to use watersoluble mesh and polyester embroidery threads in steps 1,2 and 4, and cotton thread in step 3.
