Create a festive quilted table topper that combines simple piecing, easy quilting, and machine-embroidered snowflakes around a central wreath design. This project uses holiday fabrics and machine embroidery to make a seasonal decoration for your table or wall in just a few hours.
For this table topper we used the design of the Christmas Wreath and the designs of small snowflakes from the Snowflake Set. The finished size of the quilt is about 24" x 24".

| Embroidery |
Upload the file of the Christmas Wreath to the embroidery machine. Select threads. Stabilize the central part. Hoop the fabric tightly and embroider the design in the center. Remove the excess stabilizer.
|
Upload the files from the Snowflake Set to the embroidery machine. Use the same threads with which you embroidered the wreath. Embroider the designs around the wreath one by one. Remember to stabilize the fabric and hoop tightly. Remove the excess stabilizer. |

Quilting and Finishing
|
Place the backing on a flat surface (table) face down. Cover with batting. Spread your working piece over it.
Pin all layers together. We quilted in a free-motion style all over the working piece. Start from the central part, and echo-quilt the embroidery first. For echo-quilting we used golden metallic thread. Change to thread matching the fabric of the central part and quilt it. Then proceed to the borders, using either matching or metallic thread. |
|
Press with steam. Square the piece. All angles should be 90 degrees and opposite sides of the same length. Finish the raw edges with the binding. |
|
| Have fun! |
